A nice piece of news...

A few weeks ago a local primary school teacher contacted me saying that the school was doing a topic on Japan and asked if I could provide any input on behalf of the group. I suggested that he come along to one of our meetings to get ideas but it was too short notice and they had nearly finished the topic. So I decided to lend the school my obsolete Kendo armour because I had a gut feeling that would go down well with the kids.

Long story short remind me to show you a bunch of cool photos of them having a blast with the armour! They also all signed a card to say thank you which I thought was really sweet.

Let's hope that the existence of our group has somewhat played a part in generating interest in Japanese culture :-).
