For this year's Christmas party, we will visit a Japanese restaurant called 'Asakusa' (
http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/asakusa-london) in London on the 19th of December!
We've got provisional seats reserved, but we need to confirm the final number with the restaurant as soon as possible, so please confirm your attendance by e-mailing berkshire.japanese@gmail.com before *FRIDAY THE 13th OF NOVEMBER*!
If you do not confirm attendance before this date, we cannot guarantee you a seat!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
After December, I (Joe) will step down as organiser for this group, and therefore we are looking for at least one more person to take on the role.
Yui will continue, unless we get two volunteers, in which case we will both hand over.
The role of organiser is easy! All you have to do is:
- Choose a time and place for meetings
- Update Facebook and the blog

You don't necessarily have to be at all of the meetings, but of course it's best to attend as many as you can.

August meeting

Because August is busy with people on holiday we're only having one meeting this month, at Great Expectations (33 London St, RG1 4PS) on Wednesday the 12th of August at 19:30.
We are open to anybody, whether Japanese or not, whether or not you speak Japanese, and for whatever reason you are interested in Japan. If it is your first time, we'd love to meet you :)
We usually sit in the area with the bookshelves on the left of the entrance.

Notice RE: July events:
EVENING DRINKS: Sorry we haven't set a date for the evening drinks yet - this is due to Yui being away and me being in Japan for work at a date which hasn't been decided yet! I should hopefully know tomorrow, so we will aim to confirm the next meeting soon smile emoticon
HYPER JAPAN: Partially for the same reason, but also due to lack of interest, we've cancelled Hyper Japan as a Berkshire Japanese Society event, but of course the actual event is still happening, so feel free to go along anyway if you already had plans to do so!
